
The Czech round of the MXSP is complete, and the next race in Belgium is in less than a week.
After an amazing race in the Czech Republic, many are beyond excited to see what the final few races bring. From Coenen dominating on the track, to potential recoveries and injuries, let’s go over some key
moments from Sunday!
Lucas Coenen Wins
Coenen has taken home another win this season along with 47 additional points for him and his bike manufacturer. His performance was absolutely amazing in both races, getting 1st place in race number one, and then 2nd in race number two.
He is gaining even more support and people are even predicting a World Title. This is beyond impressive as it is his first season in MXGP after his MX2 racing previously.
In the overall standings, he is in 2nd place with 668 points. This is a miniscule 10 points behind 1st place holder Romain Febvre.
Febvre- Qualifying
Febvre performed amazingly in the qualifying section of the Czech Republic round, despite the tough weather conditions. In the qualifying races, he absolutely dominated the competition throughout.
His performance in the qualifying paid off, as he also did well in the official races. He placed 5th in the first race, then 1st in the second race. Overall, he ranked 2nd with 41 points.
He is currently 1st in the standings with 678 points.
Jeffrey Herlings
Herlings hasn’t returned to this round of MXGP just yet. His return hasn’t been discussed publicly at all, but fans are excited to see him back on track soon.
