For being a relatively inexpensive race car, being so fast so soon is amazing, but even taking
it a step further and turning it into a GT4 race car is remarkable! As its beautiful sounding
V6 engine roars past you, only the word ‘wow’ comes to mind.
Racing in both the British GT and the GT4 European Series, Mahiki Racing are on track
in vibrant yellow and blue, showing just how vicious the car is as it defends its place on
the track, you can’t miss it. As the wind flows through the dynamic aero, it flies past you
with such a unique roar from its V6, distinguishable from all competition. Whatever the
weather, it is the most dominant car – sailing past others in the rain and flying by in the
dry. Lotus has done an excellent job at bringing this car to life especially with it being so
very nippy, as the GT4 category is very popular in motorsport they have produced a fan-
favourite competitive car for people to watch, support or drive.
British GT is a very exciting and strategic championship in the UK and has a full grid of
brilliant professional drivers. In car #20 you’ll find Ian Duggan and Gordie Mutch, and in
car #69 is Steven Lake and Nathan Harrison. These two dynamic pairs really showcase
their dominance on track, as car #20 has won in Pro–Am at Silverstone, won Sunoco
fastest lap at Spa-Francorchamps, and secured their second podium at Snetterton, and
though #69 is yet to get a podium, Nathan Harrison has won Sunoco fastest lap at
Silverstone, and they look keen to get a podium very soon.
GT4 European Series is a much more chaotic and competitive championship. Across
Europe, 50+ cars take to the track around some of the world’s most well-known circuits,
with every car displaying its own unique glory-moments. Steven Lake and Jordan
Kerridge drive car #69, and Dexter Patterson and Max Bird pilot #96. Whilst both Lotus’
are still yet to get a podium, they have shown their strengths by #69 having 38 points in
the AM Class, and car #96 managing to get up to P4 and P7 in various qualifying
sessions.
Only time will tell, but as the season is nearing its end the team at Mahiki Racing should
be so proud of their achievements given that they are such a new team to the GT grid.
