Martin Returns for the 2025 Czech GP

What a race that was! From some riders advancing their places in the championship to others receiving a time penalty – there was a range of events. The rankings have also been updated…

Marc Marquez Wins

There is no shock here. Marquez delivers consistently amazing results with each race. His total tally has been given a 25-point advantage due to him getting pole position and this pushes him to being 120 points in the lead.

His win at the Czech round also marks him as the first Ducati racer to get 5 GP wins in a row. This is beyond impressive.

Alex Marquez DNFs

The younger Marquez was in a crash with Joan Mir early on in the race. This resulted in him not finishing the race and also taking Mir out of the running. To add to this, he has a long lap penalty due to the crash.

This will be in place during the Austrian Grand Prix after the summer break. The penalty will add a few more seconds to his lap time overall.

Pedro Acosta Gets Podium

This marks Pedro Acosta’s first podium of the season. After a good performance in the Czech GP, his work paid off. This end position bought him an additional 16 points for his overall tally.

Now, he sits 7th with 124 points.

Jorge Martin‘s 1st Race Back

The Czech Grand Prix was the return of the current World Champion, Jorge Martin. Considering his injuries, he did really well. Overall, he placed 7th and gained 9 points. He performed well and this worked out well for him.

However, with only 10 races left is it really possible that he becomes a big threat to Marquez?

Many MotoGP fans are saying no, and that although he has a good shot at getting good results, they aren’t going to outperform the current number 1.
