The New F1 Calendar Announced

The 2026 F1 Season is going to be amazing. Not only will a brand-new team be joining the line up, but changes to the schedule have been made.

Iconic Racetrack Dropped

The 18th May 2025 marked the final race at Imola. The Italian track is one of the most iconic race tracks around the world. From its 1980 debut many things have happened at the track, both good and bad.

From the legendary rivalry between Alain Prost and Ayrton Senna beginning at Imola, to Frentzen securing pole in a Williams. It is consistently action-packed, and full of rich history. The Italian circuit is demanding, due to its counter clockwise layout, and pushes drivers to the maximum. However, it is simply too iconic not to be included – at least until now.

There are some tragic events that have happened at Imola. The 1994 Imola Grand Prix marks one of the darkest weekends in F1 history. During Qualifying, Roland Ratzenberger had a high-speed crash and
passed away. His death alone rocked the world of Formula 1.

After this tragedy, F1 legend Ayrton Senna crashed in the official race also, passing away shortly after his accident. Every year on from these moments, tributes occur.

Overall, there are many defining moments at the Imola circuit. Its rich historical aspect make it a staple in F1.

A New Track Makes Its Debut

A 2nd Spanish track is makings its first appearance during the 2026 season. As well as Barcelona, Madrid will now feature in Formula 1. It is another street circuit, and many fans are excited to see how the drivers
will perform on it.

Home driver, Carlos Sainz, has previously said that the track has the possibility to be the best track “in the world.”

Australia Leads F1 Debut Again

One thing that hasn’t changed is the starting track. Australia 2025 was a failure for many drivers – including Hadjar as well as current championship leader Piastri.

Despite this, Australia is also a fan favourite for many.

The 2026 season is certainly going to be off to a strong start with the presence of Australia.

Cadillac F1 Team

The addition of Cadillac as an F1 team has been made. Although they are yet to reveal their driver line-up as well as liveries, everyone is beyond excited for 2026. The team is embodying Americanism as shown by their official clothing partner, Tommy Hilfiger. Some possible names circulating the F1 community are: Perez, Schumacher and Bottas.

Previously, Daniel Riccardo was in the mix of names, however recently he denied this in a video online.

Overall, there are many exciting changes happening, and there may be more on the way. Everyone is beyond excited to see how the 2025 season ends and 2026 starts.
