The inline-four BDG was introduced in 1973 for use in multiple racing series and classes, including Formula 2 and Le Mans sports cars. Originally delivered with an iron block, the 1,975cc BDG was later produced with an aluminum block. This is equipped with dual 50mm side-draft Weber carburetors.The twin-cam cylinder head was installed using a new timing belt and gaskets. The water pump and block-mounted distributor were replaced, and a new wire and plug set was installed.The rebuilt engine has not been used in a car and has been covered and stored in climate-controlled race shop.
